01Application of these terms
1.1These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to your enrolment on the ETHIQ AI Certified Practitioner Programme (the “Programme”), operated by ETHIQ AI Ltd of Box Makers Yard, 504 Rosewood, New Kingsley Road, Bristol, BS2 0GL (“we”, “us”, “our”), company number 17160020.
1.2By enrolling on the Programme you agree to these Terms and the offer and payment details confirmed at checkout. Nothing in these Terms excludes or overrides rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1.3The agreement between us (“Contract”) comes into effect when your first enrolment payment is received. Your course-access and assessment periods start on that date unless we agree a different start date with you in writing. The Contract continues for the applicable access and assessment periods, subject to any earlier lawful cancellation or termination. Outstanding payment obligations and clauses stated to survive continue where applicable.
1.4These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Website Terms of Use, both available at ethiqai.co.uk.
1.5Where you enrol as, or on behalf of, a business or organisation, references to “you” include your officers, employees and any team members you add under clause 3.6, and you are responsible for ensuring they comply with these Terms.
02The Programme
2.1The Programme is an evergreen, on-demand online programme delivered through pre-recorded sessions and supporting learning materials. Enrolment is available year-round. There is no cohort start date or included live teaching requirement unless a separate offer expressly states otherwise in writing.
2.2We take reasonable steps to keep the Programme materials available during your access period. Temporary maintenance or technical interruptions may occur. If a significant interruption affects your ability to complete the Programme, contact us so we can arrange an appropriate remedy. Nothing in this clause limits your statutory rights.
2.3We may update learning materials or change the learning platform while maintaining the core content and assessment opportunity you purchased. We will notify you of material changes and make reasonable arrangements to maintain your access. Nothing in this clause removes any statutory right to a remedy where the Programme is not supplied as agreed.
2.4The Programme, and any guidance, frameworks or materials we provide as part of it, constitute training and education only. Nothing in the Programme constitutes legal, financial, tax or regulatory advice, and we are not acting as your solicitors, accountants or regulatory advisers. Where the Programme references laws, regulations or standards (including the EU AI Act, UK GDPR or ISO/IEC standards), this is provided for educational context only and you should seek independent professional advice before relying on it for a specific decision.
2.5The Programme is built on English law and UK regulatory context. It may not be directly applicable to other jurisdictions.
03Enrolment and access
3.1You receive 12 months of access to the Programme recordings and learning materials from the course-access start date in clause 1.3. This is not lifetime access. The assessment submission window is explained in clause 4. If you submit your capstone within that window, expiry of course access does not prevent marking or the resubmission opportunity in clause 4.5; we will explain how to submit any required work. A late submission under clause 4.4 does not automatically extend access to the recordings or learning materials.
3.2You agree to keep your login details confidential and not to share them with any third party. You must tell us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
3.3The Programme is intended for your own personal or internal business use. You must not resell, sublicense or otherwise make your access available to anyone else.
3.4The pay-in-full option includes 12 months of membership of The AI Reckoning® community, currently hosted on Skool, where this inclusion is stated in the offer confirmed at checkout. Community membership is separate from the 12-month course-access period and begins when your included membership is activated. We will provide joining instructions following your qualifying purchase. Other payment options include community membership only where expressly stated in the offer confirmed at checkout. Any continuation after the included membership period requires a separate agreement; no paid renewal is created by these Terms. We may change the community platform while providing the included membership for its agreed duration.
3.5You are responsible for having a device, internet connection and software capable of accessing the Programme materials.
3.6You may add up to three additional team-member places at £1,000 per additional place, with no VAT to add. The total price including your £2,000 place is £3,000 for you plus one team member, £4,000 for you plus two, or £5,000 for you plus three. Each place is for one named learner, with separate access and assessment requirements. Select team places at checkout where available, or email admin@ethiqai.co.uk to arrange them. The learner start dates and any available payment schedule will be confirmed when the additional places are arranged.
04Certification and the 12-month submission window
4.1To be awarded the ETHIQ AI Certified Practitioner credential, you must complete the Programme modules and submit the capstone assignment for marking in accordance with the assessment criteria provided for your enrolment.
4.2The pass mark is 80%; a mark of 90% or above is awarded a Distinction.
4.3You have 12 months from the assessment start date in clause 1.3 to submit your capstone assignment for certification.
4.4If you have not submitted your capstone assignment within that 12-month window, you may still submit it, but a late submission fee of £500 applies before we accept and mark it. Contact admin@ethiqai.co.uk to arrange a late submission. This fee covers the late assessment and does not include renewed access to the course recordings, materials or community unless we separately agree this in writing.
4.5One resubmission opportunity is available if your capstone is referred, within the timeframe we communicate to you at the time.
4.6Certification is awarded on successful completion of the capstone assessment. Enrolment on, or attendance at, the Programme does not itself constitute certification.
05Payment
5.1The price for one Programme place is £2,000, with no VAT to add. You may pay in full or select Pay in 4, comprising four instalments of £500, on the schedule shown at checkout. Klarna may also be available as described in clause 5.3. Additional team-member prices are set out in clause 3.6. The total price and payment schedule for your chosen purchase will be confirmed before you place your order.
5.2Where you select the instalment plan, you authorise us to take each instalment automatically on the schedule confirmed at checkout, and it is your responsibility to ensure your payment method remains valid and funded.
5.3A Buy Now, Pay Later option (currently Klarna) may also be available at checkout, provided directly by that third-party provider and subject to their own terms.
5.4We are not currently VAT registered. The prices agreed at checkout are the total prices payable, with no VAT added. A later change to our VAT status will not increase the total price already agreed for your purchase.
5.5If any instalment is not paid when due, we may suspend your access to the Programme until payment is received.
06Refunds and cancellation
6.1You may cancel your enrolment by notifying us in writing within 14 days after the Contract is made, subject to the rules for digital content in clause 6.2 and any applicable statutory rights. Where you are entitled to a refund, we will return it using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed, without a refund fee, within 14 days after being informed of your cancellation.
6.2If you want digital content, including recorded sessions and downloadable materials, supplied during the 14-day cancellation period, we will ask for your express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that you will lose your statutory right to cancel that digital content once supply begins. We will confirm that consent and acknowledgement in a form you can retain. Where the legal requirements are met and supply has begun, the statutory cancellation right for that digital content is lost. Merely accepting these Terms or logging into the portal does not by itself provide that consent and acknowledgement. If you do not consent to immediate supply, contact us to arrange access after the cancellation period. This clause does not remove cancellation rights for any separate service element or any other statutory remedy.
6.3To cancel, email admin@ethiqai.co.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel, your name, the Programme name and your order or enrolment details. You may use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to.

07Intellectual property
7.1We own, or are licensed to use, all intellectual property rights in the Programme, including the course materials, workbooks, video content and the ETHIQ AI proprietary frameworks (including the ETHIQ AI Ethical Decision Framework, the Automate vs Protect Matrix, the ETHIQ AI Tool Evaluation Framework and the other named frameworks taught within the Programme). Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of this to you.
7.2We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Programme materials for your own professional development and, once certified, in the delivery of your own client work using the frameworks as taught. You must not reproduce, publish, sell, distribute or make the Programme materials available to any third party who has not themselves enrolled.
7.3You must not upload, input or otherwise provide any part of the Programme materials, including workbooks, videos, transcripts, prompts or frameworks, into any third-party AI tool, platform or large language model, except where this is a designated part of a Programme exercise.
7.4On successful certification, you may use the post-nominal “ETHIQ AI Certified Practitioner” and reference your credential in professional materials, in accordance with any usage guidance we publish from time to time.
7.5This clause 7 survives the end of your enrolment.
08Marketing and testimonials
8.1We may ask for your consent to use feedback, testimonials or case studies from your time on the Programme in our marketing. We will not use your name, image or specific business details without your consent.
09Liability
9.1Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing in these Terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights relating to digital content or services that are faulty, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.
9.2Subject to clause 9.1, we are not liable for any loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your enrolment on the Programme or your use of any framework, template or guidance we provide.
9.3Subject to clause 9.1, our total liability to you in connection with the Programme is limited to the amount you have paid us for your enrolment.
9.4We do not guarantee any particular commercial outcome, client result or income from applying what you learn on the Programme. Your results depend on factors outside our control.
10General
10.1These Terms apply to new enrolments made under this version. We may update our terms for future purchases. For existing enrolments, we will notify you of proposed material changes and obtain agreement where required by law; we will not retrospectively reduce your agreed core access period or included benefits merely by publishing a new version.
10.2If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
10.3These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in another court where applicable law gives you that right.
